Mossoux Bonté

Like a giant marionette, Nicole Mossoux floats above the stage suspended by a cord which is both her means of support and a barrier to her freedom. In this new follow-on to the company's award-winning Twin Houses, which explored the relationship between performer and puppets, Gradiva reveals the powers of suggestion that animated figures can exercise on human beings. A seamless blend of dance and theatre and a compelling journey to the furthest reaches of your imagination.

Spoken text and explicable gestures could not begin to define the nebulous sensibilities that this show brings into focus. It nudges at the very beingness of being. If this is the way mime is going, then three cheers.
