Jacques
Lecoq’s innovative ideas and teaching made him one of the twentieth century’s
most influential theatre personalities. Jean Noel Roy’s two forty-five
minute documentary films (to be shown in one session) show Lecoq at work with
students at his internationally renowned Paris theatre school, and include interviews
with many now well-known former pupils.
Premiered in Britain at last year’s Festival, this fascinating cine hommage
to Jacques Lecoq sold out very quickly. In response to great demand the Festival
offers another chance to see the films, screened this time at the Ciné
Lumière. Early booking recommended.
