The
Circus Space Cabaret
Love
is in the air as The Circus Space embraces romance for this year's
Mime Festival Cabaret. There's a sublime aerial duet by The Generating
Company's Dane Clarke and Laura Pero; a juggling tango to swoon
to by Sean Gandini and Kati Yla-Hokkala; a cocktail of contortion,
acrobatics and clown from Jerwood Circus Award winners Kicking
the Moon; aerial excitement from The Flying Dudes and the visually
ravishing swinging cerceau of Susan Voyticky.
The venue is unique; an old power station that has become Britain's
top circus training centre. Overnight it is transformed into a
strange but welcoming emporium of entertainment with rope ladders
and trapezes dangling from the roof. Come along and be seduced
by the events unfolding before you, around you and above you.
