Pakas new show is a spectacular story of one man and his
horse. And not just any horse Paka whistles up his life-sized
mechanical steed and escapes on an adventure into his past. An
extraordinary journey unfolds deserts are crossed, storms
endured and seas swum. A magical equestrian act appears before
your eyes, a life-changing accident rears its head and our grubby
hero confronts the dragon of his worst nightmare. Forget Me
Not features Londons cutting-edge clown in a show that
boasts at least forty hands (and were not talking horse
height). Directed by Andy Lavender, an array of international
artists harness their talents to create a theatrical event filled
with puppetry, pyrotechnics, robotics, music and video.
Created by the team that produced the sensational The Singularity
(LIMF 1998), this is horseplay with a difference- a stunning ride
and a tender treat.
'Paka's act is singularly funny.' Critics choice, Time
Out. The Singularity
'Firmly in the tradition of futuristic performance artistry...
uniformly stunning: the aesthetic eccentric and inspiring.'
Beware the Cat Magazine. The Singularity
Runs approx 70 mins without interval
Presented with the support of Arts Council England, Lewisham Council,
Central School of Speech and Drama and The Circus Space.
Co-production: Art of Regeneration - A project of The National
Theatre, The Albany and London International Mime Festival
