A unique theatre experience, fusing live jazz, improvisation,
and a new dance craze where the world literally turns upside down.
Following the sell-out runs of A Little Fantasy ('90
minutes of pure pleasure, a deeply eccentric and beguiling show'
Daily Telegraph) and Playing The Victim (beautifully judged
performances Daily Mail), Told by an Idiot complete
the celebration of their tenth anniversary.
Based on the life and work of French cult novelist Boris Vian,
I'm A Fool To Want You promises to be a freewheeling look
at the nature of deception, an act of revenge, and the desire
to live in the moment. Inspired by Vian's bizarre death, and performed
in a style of extreme comic physicality, Im a Fool to
Want You will lure you into a world of the fantastic where
the unexpected is perfectly normal.
The company will be joined by Perrier Jazz award-winning pianist
Zoe Rahman, who will perform alongside Told by an Idiot co-founder
Hayley Carmichael (Time Out Best Actress Award), and regular 'Idiot'
Stephen Harper (I Weep At My Piano and Shoot Me In The
Heart).
