Shows for people
with hearing impairment

Most of the shows in the Mime Festival have little or no spoken text. What you see with the eye is far more important than what can be heard. If you are hearing impaired, then we especially suggest the following shows for you:

BLACK HOLE at The Albany
CANSTAGE at The Barbican
COMPAGNIE 111 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall
PAOLO NANI & KRISTJAN INGIMARSSON at Phoenix Arts Leicester, Croydon Clocktower, Corn Exchange Newbury and the Purcell Room in London
PEP BOU at the Corn Exchange Newbury and The Purcell Room, London

Some of shows do have an important musical accompaniment, but hearing loops are fitted in the theatres.

Of the shows which do have some text, this year we have added two sign-language interpreted performances:
JOAN BAIXAS (Spain) Dopamine Suite at the ICA on Sun 18 Jan 8pm
TOLD BY AN IDIOT (UK) I'm A Fool to Want You at BAC on Sun 25 Jan 6pm

If you want to check the suitability of any shows before you commit to buying tickets and making your travel plans, please do contact us and ask about any specific issues which will help you to make your decision.

Similarly, if you have any other access questions, do get in touch:
