Every
year the most prestigious new circus act competition takes place
in Paris - The Cirque de Demain. Its shown on TV around
Europe, except in the UK. The Circus Space Cabaret in association
with the 2005 London International Mime Festival welcome three
prize-winners from recent competitions:
- From Vietnam, bronze medal winning acrobats Duo Dinh Anh,
graduates of France's Centre National des Arts du Cirque.
- From England and Germany, winners of the Moulin Rouge prize
elegant club jugglers lukaluka, graduates of The
Circus Space.
Also featured in this dazzling evening, Damien Gaumet and
Mathilde Sebald from the École Supérieure
des Arts du Cirque de Bruxelles (not Sun), who will be competing
in this years Cirque de Demain; Merlin Borg, recent
graduate of The Circus Space, mixing puppetry with circus; an
illuminated promenade from The Wrong Size; and, from Scotland
and New Zealand the jaw-dropping cradle act of Duo Vertigo.
Charismatic trickster Tim Bat will host each evening. The
atmosphere is relaxed and the setting unique - an old power station
in the heart of Hoxton that has become Britain's top circus centre.
Sit back with drinks from the Trapeze Bar and enjoy some of the
best variety and speciality acts in London.
Bar opens at 7pm.
We
regret that Molly Saudek will now not be performing as
part of the Cabaret due to injury.
